Ignoring Voters of South Carolina

Lindsey Graham has seven (7) different offices that are maintained by taxpayer money for his personal staff. Six of these are located in the state of South Carolina to give constituents access to the Senator. Given that Senator Graham makes up his own working itinerary for voting, campaigning, travel, vacation, and who knows what else [as he is free to do whatever he wishes], he tells CNN what he does when he goes back to South Carolina.

This is a video clip of Senator Graham being interviewed by Liberal Media's flag ship CNN, where Graham is treated to softball questions by a Leftist admirer in the press. First, the "tough question" about what his favorite food is, ham biscuits if you didn't already know. Then the question is asked about what he does when he returns to South Carolina.

The U.S. Congress is taking steps to make embedded YouTube presentations a violation of copyright laws. "Senators Want To Put People In Jail For Embedding YouTube Videos". It seems that having their own words repeated in a video makes them very uncomfortable! Our embedded presentation is now a link to YouTube. This represents the chilling effect such legal tampering will have on the public's right to know what they are saying and doing. Also read: "Embedding YouTube Videos May Soon Be a Felony".

That's right, golfing at Hilton Head! Staying away from all six (6) South Carolina offices and ignoring voters, Lindsey Graham goes golfing at Hilton Head Island. Hummm, let's see, is one of his offices located on Hilton Head? The answer is a resounding NO. Maybe Senator Graham should spend even more tax payer money and erect another office for his staff at the Harbour Town Golf Links. A great question would have been, "what is the total size of your staff and how much money do the tax payers shell out for them"? Also, "do people not on your full-time staff get paid with taxes as well"?

As a salient point of comparison, Senator Jim DeMint maintains only four (4) offices, one in Washington and three in South Carolina. Taxpayers want to know why it takes >175% more tax dollars to maintain seven (7) offices for Lindsey Graham, one in Washington and six in South Carolina. Does anybody believe that Graham spends 175% more time with his constituents than Jim DeMint?

Senator Graham admits that he goes golfing a lot, much like his friend in the White House, President Barack Obama. I guess that when Graham is absent from voting in the Senate Chamber we can all presume that he is in a cart somewhere on the "back 9". When you make up your own work schedule and do as you please, most career politicians generally choose something they like.

Graham also admits that he is a "10 to 2" person, that is 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon. "That's when I peak", Graham says, "and an hour for lunch". You have to imagine that those three hour days must be really stressful, making another 18 holes at the course necessary. And is everybody totally sick of his bragging about being a lawyer? Okay Senator Graham, you're a lawyer, we get it, but have you heard the joke that goes with your profession?

Question: What do you call 50,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?

    Answer: A good start.

You might think that the answers Graham is glibly giving to the journalist is him just joking around. But notice, his face is smiling but serious, and he isn't retracting anything he says. Some joke South Carolina, and the joke is on us.
